How to work with me:

​I work 1:1 in school, or in my home and I use a combination of:
​
my teaching experience, creative art and drama,
stories, play therapy, nature and the natural environment,
yoga, music and movement, mindfulness, breathing techniques,
meditation, being a present and conscious listener and lots more.

How I work with your family and your child/children:
​
It is important that every child gets exactly what they need, to help them through issues they may be dealing with.
​
I provide the children with a safe environment where they can express themselves freely with no pressure or judgement.
​
Each session is fluid and leads into the next in a way that suits your child. No session is the same and will be adapted to their interests, personality and needs in order for them to begin their journey of growth, change and healing, in exactly the right way for them.

Step 1
​
​We will have a chat on the phone to see how we can work together. You will receive a short discovery questionnaire in order for me to learn more about your child and a little bit from you about how I can support the family. I will send dates and we can get booked in.

​​Step 2

​​
​We book in the initial 3 sessions where I get to know your child and we create a bond together. From these sessions we will have a good idea of how to move forward to help your child and the family.
​

What a session looks like:
​
Depending on your child’s needs, this will involve a short welcoming chat including reassurance of our safe place to work and be creative.
Your child will choose an essential oil that they find comforting and relevant to them on that particular day, creating a safe comforting and familiar ambiance.
​
We follow with a gentle breathing technique, which we will revisit regularly and slowly introduce more techniques as we go. (relevant to your child’s needs)
The main activity will involve stories, drama, creative arts or play, yoga etc, or going out into nature to experience this deeper.
Often the child will engage in something they enjoy whilst they talk and share.
We will close with a meditation relevant to your child’s needs at the time.
Throughout the session we will use positive affirmations and mindful activities.
I will always be there as a present and conscious listener and coach and sessions will always be led by the child and guided by me.
This is just a general idea of how a session will flow, as every session will be different, and needs may arise and plans will change.

Parent advice
​
I offer parent advice support and guidance around the needs of your children and family. This can be in the form of a face to face meeting, telephone call, zoom call or by email.
